MCCOY FIBRE OPTIC LARYNGOSCOPES
FOR DIFFICULT INTUBATION
The McCoy Laryngoscope provides the clinician with greater flexibility and improved control in a wide selection of difficult intubation cases such as:
- Forward displacement of the Larynx
- Forward or prominent upper teeth
- Backward displacement of the tongue
- Decreased neck movement
- Cervical spine injuries
- Decreased mouth opening
- Recessive mandible
The McCoy Laryngoscope has a Macintosh style blade with a tip which is adjustable through 70°. A lever controls the tip angle during intubation to lift the epiglottis, giving a clear view of the vocal cords. Contact with the upper row of teeth and unnecessary pressure on the tongue and soft tissue are avoided. |
